If every person who has aids was abstinent and chaste we could wipe out AIDS in a generation.
Simple.
Lets stop this condom programme, because by promoting condom use to stop the spread of HIV we are saying to people 'your just an animal, you can't stop having sex'. Well I say, lets keep people out of the pool altogether instead of just throwing them in the deep end with some crap floaties.
I'm sure their are skeptics out there, they most likely think I'm a loony, as if condom use doesn't work and as if we can stop AIDS. Well I have an amazing case study for us, its called Philippines and Thailand.
Both these countries have similar sized populations. In 1991 the W.H.O predicted that by 99 Philippines would have 85,000 AIDS related deaths while Thailand will have 75,000 deaths.
In order to stop these deaths, Thailand went with a 'safe-sex' programme when it came to preventing AIDS. Philippines because of its strong Catholicism went with abstinence and chastity.
These are the results in 2003:
Philippines has 113 people affected with aids per million
Thailand has 9,072 affected per million.
The country that went with condoms has an aids rate 7 times higher than the country that went with abstinence. Funny that.
The condom approach doesn't work. Given the increase of AIDS we must try something different, something that works. And there is only one proven method. Lets stop AIDS.
