Salutations,

My name is Tim Lawson and I am taking over this fantastic blog from the former writer Thomas J Craven. I am a Journalism student and I write and edit several student publications. I have also recently started doing some freelance journalism in addition to my studies.

This blog will be a source of high quality journalism and will endeavor to uphold the role of the Fourth Estate: providing hard news pieces as well as informed analysis and exploration of national and international current affairs. My main area of interest is the Middle East.

This blog will also contain a myriad of small sections of my other writing: interspersed throughout my journalism. I hope you enjoy my writing.

Great to see some independant though on the middle east, its complex, historical and the people here have different views on world events. Some say the middle east was at peace before US intervention and the conflict we see now is a direct result of psuedo colonisation
